What does DV do?

DoubleVerify is in the business of trust. Trust is foundational to the lasting partnerships we’ve built with global advertisers, platforms and publishers across the digital ecosystem. It is earned through experience. DV pioneered digital ad verification over a decade ago. Today, we authenticate media quality and power performance for the world's largest brands, platforms and publishers. We are driven by a singular purpose – to power the new standard of marketing performance and give advertisers clarity and confidence in their digital investment. To do this, we use a combination of human oversight and sophisticated artificial intelligence.

What are the challenges?

There are three core challenges in the digital advertising ecosystem today. First, emerging market disruptions have made driving and measuring digital advertising outcomes increasingly difficult. The ecosystem is highly fragmented. The increasing number of channels, environments and ad formats means there’s a multitude of different signals to capture and process – and more to measure than ever before.

But identity and privacy online are also important issues to consumers and brands. Privacy and data regulations have been put in place to protect consumers, platforms are tightening their policies and third-party cookies are largely being deprecated. This creates friction in traditional, digital advertising models. So the industry needs a way to not only measure and capture signals across environments – it needs a privacy friendly way to do this. That’s one of the reasons why DoubleVerify built our suite of verification and performance solutions without relying on cookies.

Finally, the spread of information online is changing. News cycles are evolving rapidly which makes advertising and simultaneously safeguarding brand reputation a challenge. Mis- and disinformation proliferates in front of fast-paced media coverage that includes a pandemic, war and social justice. Advertisers who aim to actively defund mis- and disinformation need reliable methods to discern quality media.

Work on the cutting edge of AdTech

DoubleVerify's Israel office serves as one of the company's main R&D centers. Here, we build the core measurement technology that creates the foundation of our ad verification products. In short, we monitor and analyze all characteristics of media quality for the ad impressions we measure. This measurement is known as the Authentic Ad™, which determines whether an ad campaign served in the intended countries and regions and whether these ads were fully viewed by real humans in environments that are free of fraud and suitable for the brand.

Collaboration is a way of life for our staff, which is why the office has many quiet corners, conducive to innovative thinking and joint problem solving. Our staff are also members of the Developer's Guild, where bi-weekly they meet with experts to discuss new technologies and development methods, experiment with them and contribute code for new company infrastructures.
